Step-by-step guide

You should have Synqit installed on your computer. Refer to download section for download and installation instructions. You can start Synqit from Windows Start menu by selecting Start | Programs | Synqit | Synqit.

For the beginning, create a new source where you want to import your contacts from. When you start Synqit for the first time, new source wizard appears automatically. You can also create new source any time later from Synqit main window. Check online demos.

  • Mobile Phone section describes how to create source for importing contacts from mobile phone over internet using Vodafone 360 Synchronization Server.
  • Outlook section describes how to create source for importing contacts from MS Outlook. View demo.
  • Gmail, Google Apps, Plaxo or MemoToo section describes how to create source for importing contacts from Gmail or Plaxo. View demo.

If you have already created a source, you are ready to import your contacts into Skype.

  • Click Import contacts into Skype. During the import, Synqit connects to contacts source, retrieves your contacts, performs conversion if needed and starts connecting to Skype.

  • When Synqit connects to Skype for the first time, Skype requests your approval for connection. If Skype 4 has Compact View, an acceptance dialog pops up. If Skype 4 has Normal (conversation) View, acceptance dialog appears in the conversation (right) panel of Skype window. Open Skype window if it is minimized or hidden in tray bar. Allow Synqit to access your Skype instance.

  • If everything is ok, you will see a successful report.

  • Check your contacts imported in Skype.
